Before COVID, I was already working at home most of the time, although I would occasionally take my work to a local coffee shop or cafe to have a change in scenery. I know due to COVID, a TON of people were forced to work from home, and at first, working from home sounds great, but man IS IT TOUGH ( at least for me). When I started working from home, I instantly thought, " Oh, heck, yes, I can snack ALL DAY, be with my dog, and work in my pajamas big win. Slowly my productivity started to decline, so I had to change some of my habits to be productive while working at home. I know what you're thinking about how I can struggle with working from home when that's all I do?
Learning how to be productive in my house was tough for me. Some days when I don't want to do " work tasks," I will do laundry or organize a desk door so that I can avoid being productive on the tasks I genuinely need to get done. So here are some of my biggest tips that helped me become productive while working at home!

1. Get up and Get Dressed ( Out of the PJ's)
That's right I said it- you can't work in your pajamas all day every day. This is something I've been doing, and it helps so much: when you feel cute, you feel GOOD. When you put on a pair of jeans or even just a cute top with leggings, it will help you get in the mindset that you are "getting ready to work." Remember, MINDSET Is essential sooo let trick our brains into thinking we are going to the workplace.
2. Don't Work from your Bed
I know you want to because it's comfy- but trust me when I tell you don't do it. Our brains associate our bed with relaxation so you get up, pour yourself a cup of coffee, and get working. I PROMISE YOU WILL SEE A DIFFERENCE.

3.Make a Schedule
Each Sunday evening I have started writing down all my weekly tasks I need to get done for that week and gosh dang does it help. Plus, it's SOOO satisfying to me to cross off and mark the things I have completed. If you write down the top 5 things you must get done that week, it can help you stay on track and achieve all your goals.
4. Take Breaks.. yes I said it Take a Break.
Yes, I know I am a total workaholic, so I get the urge to work for hours upon hours each day. When you give yourself breaks every hour or two, it helps your brain rest, and you won't get burnt out on your daily tasks. To increase productivity- give yourself a break. I usually like to take small breaks and either go out to the garden and weed a tad bit or throw the ball with Bentley ( which he enjoys).
